CLC "Adopt-a-Highway" Trash Pickup

CLC volunteers have been cleaning up Route 16 since 2003, when the CLC adopted the two-mile stretch which starts at Heavenly Hill and runs north the length of the lake.

Join us for our annual 4th of July weekend “Adopt-a-Highway” Trash Pickup along Route 16. What could be more patriotic than caring for our homeland? We’ll meet in The Grove by Chocorua Lake, near the Narrows Bridge at the end of Chocorua Lake Road, at 8:45, and we usually finish by 10 or 10:30. Please come with gloves and good walking shoes. CLC Stewardship Director Lynne Flaccus and CLC Lake Patrol Officer Troy Emerson, will provide trash bags and will have a number of high-visibility vests available for your safety. We hope to see you there. More helpers means we all finish faster!
