Our volunteer stewards will be learning to identify some common invasive plants and how to remove and control those that might otherwise out-compete native shrubs.

It’s to all our advantages to protect our lakes from variable milfoil and other aquatic invasive species that can tangle our feet when we swim, hamper passage for our boats, and destroy habitat for native species.
As the weather warms, the CLC is working to clean up public access locations after the vagaries of winter and prepare them for the wear and tear of human use, all opportunities to get exercise in the fresh air.
